The scope of research of the Division of Electrical Power Equipment and Industrial Power Engineering:

  • planning, design and operation of modern electrical networks and devices
  • planning and designing intelligent networks in buildings
  • analysis of the power quality
  • research on phenomena of arc faults in substations and devices
  • study of switching phenomena in vacuum
  • analysis of the possibility of using DER
  • studies on the use of methods to improve the rational use of electrical energy
  • safety of electrical networks
  • management of active and reactive power in an industry
  • studies on operating conditions for power generation, transmission, distribution and reception devices in industrial plants and municipal facilities
  • testing, assessment and forecasting of the reliability of electrical power equipment and devices
  • methods of identifying electromagnetic fields with a frequency of 50 Hz in the vicinity of overhead transmission and distribution lines and power stations
  • identification of constant and slowly changing magnetic fields in the vicinity of current circuits of industrial power devices (electrothermal and electrochemical devices)
  • analysis of threats related to the impact of electromagnetic fields generated by power lines and stations as well as antenna systems on the natural environment and people
